Admiral Fazekas: while probing the Starbase 410 website for any signs of weakness that
would help the Lutonia with the Viking style raid planned for May when the Lutonia is due to launch a fun attack on Starbase 410. The Admiral by chance came across data concerning other clubs such as the USS
Benevolence. Not one to miss an opportunity the Admiral has made First Contact. The next step is to encourage regular contact between Lutonia crew members and those of our American friends. |

Daniel Praid: In an effort to make contact with other clubs I sent out an email to several clubs around the south-east - I got many responses - the most welcoming was from Genesis Sci-Fi Club in Hampshire. Judith and I became the scouting party and established first contact. The club was very welcoming and was happy to greet us. We really enjoyed the full day event and made many new friends. Admiral Fazekas: First Contact was established between the crew of the USS Lutonia and the crew of Starbase 410 who had sent an away team to us to make first contact at our homeport of the Naval Club. This historic first meeting was a major success. There were many laughs and new friendships made during the night, not least when I decided to show our Anglia TV clip only for Captain Ann Thomas to produce the Starbase Anglia TV clip as well. The Starbase crews were very friendly and took time to go round and meet members of our crew. Having spoken to Captain Ann Thomas the next day, it seems the Starbase away team was very impressed with the way they were received by our Club. The latest data on the relationship between Starbase 410 and the U.S.S Lutonia NCC - 1996 is that both clubs enjoy close contact with each other in many areas. One being the access page in each other's fanzine where members of both clubs can read about each other's clubs. Of course the crews of both clubs are now regularly attending each other's club events. The result being that personal friendships are being formed and will we one day have the first inter club wedding? |
